The White House reports that Biden tested positive for COVID-19

Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently experiencing mild symptoms, according to the White House. Two virus tests had come back positive for him earlier.

Biden, 81, visited Las Vegas supporters and spoke at an event, but has cancelled a campaign speech due to illness, as he faces increasing pressure to step aside due to his age.

US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Majority Leader Hakeem Jefferies have privately met with President Biden, expressing concern that his candidacy could negatively impact other House and Senate races. President Biden plans to isolate himself at his home in Delaware while fulfilling all duties fully.

President Biden, according to his doctor, Kevin O’Connor, experienced upper respiratory symptoms, including a runny nose and cough, and was prescribed Paxlovid. Despite feeling fine initially, he later tested positive.

Biden expressed gratitude on Twitter for well wishes and pledged to work for the American people while recovering. He also mentioned Elon Musk and his wealthy friends trying to buy the election and suggested a donation portal for those interested in pitching in. Biden’s account is currently sick.

Reporters on a Las Vegas trip reported that President Biden was rushed to the airport after an announcement, moving cautiously up the steps without a mask. As he boarded Air Force One, he expressed his feeling of good.

President Biden has been forced to cancel a speech at UnidosUS, a Latino civil rights organization, due to illness. He is facing increasing calls to withdraw from the election race, with nearly two dozen Democratic politicians calling for his resignation. Congressman Adam Schiff urged Biden to “pass the torch” and expressed worries about his capacity to defeat Trump.

Schiff praised Biden as a significant president and suggested he could secure his legacy by allowing another Democrat to succeed him. Congress’ top two Democrats, Schumer and Jeffries, privately met with Biden, expressing concerns that his position on the November election ticket could impact their chances of controlling either chamber in Congress.

The president has confirmed that he is the party’s nominee and plans to win the election. He plans to work with both leaders to pass his 100-day agenda to help working families. The conversation was private and considered idle speculation. Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer conveyed the views of his caucus directly to President Biden.

In an interview with BET, Biden expressed his belief that he cannot pass the presidency due to the divided country and expressed his intention to drop out of the race if any of his doctors diagnosed him with a “medical condition.”
