Colwill is “glad” to be going back to Stamford Bridge

After arriving back in London after the USA Tour, Chelsea defender Levi Colwill stated that the team has missed their supporters this summer and is excited to play at Stamford Bridge again.

Following their preseason tour of the United States, Chelsea has returned to London and is getting ready for their Premier League opener on August 18 against Manchester City.

In an interview with the team Levi Colwill expressed his excitement about playing in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd again on Sunday. It has been over three months since the Blues’ last successful match at Stamford Bridge against Bournemouth.

The players appear to have noticed this, as defender Colwill stated that they had missed their supporters during the preseason. It’s great to be back at the bridge with our supporters. They must not realize how much we have missed their company this summer. Like last year, we will require them for the entire season, so it will undoubtedly be exciting.”

The Blues player won’t have to wait long to make his Premier League debut this season as they take on Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge on August 11.

“The Inter Milan game must be approached as if it were the first of the season. They make an amazing team. They will test us and have a lot to give; winning will ideally put us on a positive track for the remainder of the season.” They were in the Champions League final the previous two seasons.
